BRUNSWICK COUNTY | The Brunswick Sheriff’s Office has received reports of a telephone scam involving lottery winnings and transaction fees, according to a news release. Lt. The Napa County District Attorney’s Office is investigating a scam targeting local wineries. According to a statement by the DA’s Consumer Protection Division, the scam starts with an e-mail (to a winery) expressing a desire to order several cases of wine for an event such as a wedding.
